Chevrolet said that the 1968 Camaro SS was dedicated to the “fun crowd,” but at first Chevrolet wasn’t sure if they wanted to sell the car to the public because it was strictly designed for racing. The Chevy Camaro was a very competitive racing car. It won the 10/13 Trans-Am Circle in one season. The popularity of the Camaro Z/28 Special Performance package started to climb based on the car’s first year racing reputation. These are some of the reasons why the 1968 Chevy Camaro is my favorite car.
